Verizon to get a ‘phablet' of its own: LG Optimus Vu images leak ahead of launch

LG announced its Optimus Vu smartphone-tablet hybrid at Mobile World Congress in February. Unlike its closest competitor, the Galaxy Note, the Vu features an odd 4:3 aspect ratio and a rather unsightly design. The oversized 'phablet' was also released with less fanfare than the Note, which has been quite successful according to Samsung. LG is still determined to bring the phablet stateside, however. Late last month the Vu showed up at the FCC with support for Verizon's 4G LTE network and now, according to images obtained by AndroidPolice, the device isn't far off. The Vu is shown with Verizon branding on the front, and the company's usual 4G LTE logo on the rear. Unlike its Korean counterpart, the U.S.-bound phablet will run Android (Source: BGR News) -
